Hard Top Quections

I have a 71 fj40, I would like to put a hard top on.
my quection was what years fit on what years an what mods do have to do make them fit well..???
I just found one off a 74 ..

Up to 12/74 should work. Later than that had ambulance doors.

so all 1958-1974 will work on those years an 1974- up you would need some mod's for rear doors an side doors ?

Did they all have fiberglass or were there all steel models?

my hard top (think it came from a 76) the sides are metal and the top is fiberglass i think.

I think all 40's came with fiberglass tops. Some of the 45 pickups are rumored to have come with metal tops.
