Did the search and cant find the original post. I am in need of a top for my 71 FJ40. What, aside from ambi. doors, is stopping me from using my buddies '77 top?

Just drill some holes where the hinges meet the body and nut/bolt it on.

sweeeet. thanks guys.
windshield wipers.
everbody says they should fit. they don't.
the fiberglass part has a bracket that just won't fit with the "over-the-top" style wipers. you have to cut out notches for them. it's a lot easier to do before you totally mount the top (ask me why, i know. ha ha.)
good luck with it man. where are you located? i know of a couple parts (sides, etc.) that i could probably pick up for you if the other top doesn't work out.

Thank you for the offer. I am located in Maryland and can def. trade fabrication for big stuff too.
