Good thing I bought mine like a decade ago and not those!!!

Glad this got posted, I was just coming here to share. There's a good YouTube video where a guy shows how unreliable the pawls and the roll pins are in these style of stands, I'll try and find it and share as well.

Hope everyone is safe and well. --Ray

Thanks for the heads up... I have four of their Heavy Duty 6 ton jacks, but they're the 63393 model, so I guess I'm safe. I try to not rely on a single jack and have other devices like my floor lift in place as a back up when under the truck in case of a failure.

I think I found the video you're referring to for these jack stands...

There's another interesting video along the same lines as well that illustrates some additional concepts for these jack stands...

Both videos are worth watching.

Wow, I always thought I was good and safe under my rig with it resting on two jack stands. I might have to keep a hydraulic jack under there simultaneously for good measure. That's terrifying.

Those were the videos I was thinking of, thanks for sharing them. I know they are very spendy but I can't recommend Ranger QuickJack enough. After my Chevelle almost fell on me I got one, and have loved it. I got the 7000lb version and use it on everything from my 100 series, to the Chevelle, no issues and it's a lot safer than stands. Plenty of videos on them, and I'm happy to bring it to wrench days or clear out my garage for a club member to use it.
