as the title says I’m looking for the hand throttle bracket I think I need the one that attaches to the fire wall where the throttle cable pass through. Thanks!

Crap! Bad on me!

Not sure of production year, but it’s a 1966 fj40. Thanks

It's a cable just like the choke cable for the same year. It will have text on the knob that says "THROTTLE" been moving parts around the last few weeks and can take a picture if you need it. Do you still have the stock one barrel carburetor? After 9/69 the hand throttle cable directly to the carburetor became a option that hooked to the gas pedal.

If you don’t need it to be pure stock, there are some vintage aftermarket ones that say throttle that are about $30 bux brand new.

I’m looking for something like what’s in the picture

I’m not really sure how I would have been set up when new, but it does not have the original carb anyway. I’m trying to get everything back to stock, but some one told me the current two barrel is a better set up than the stock one barrel. It runs good the way it is, so I’m not going to do anything about it now. I have my hands full with getting everything back together on it. Of course that may change if an original one barrel in good shape falls in my lap some day

Is your current gas pedal anything like the one in the picture? 66 was the old style gas pedal with rod linkage. The one in the picture is for a cable.

A good and very logical question John. If there were a thumbs up emoticon, I’d give you two. As it is, a like will have to do.;)

As I mentioned before, I’m starting to put stuff back together. That’s the reason for all the wires every witch way

I actually remembered to look early today, because I thought I had two of them. But they were not where I thought they would be, and I had other things to do at 1:30am (like sleeping) and forgot again by morning.

Mark maybe you can answer a question for me? After the 69 model was the hand throttle part of the PTO winch package? All the cruisers I've had that a factory installed PTO were all earlier than the 70 model and had the hand throttle regardless whether it had a winch or not. Picked up a hand throttle off of a 84 HJ47RV from Australia that had a factory winch. Haven't clue if that was standard on 2H diesels or part of the factory winch option.
