It's not that I'm so busy, "I"* just schedule everything in advance.

I know the feeling. When we do the 2017 calendar, print it off and hand it to her with a dozen roses. I think Jeremy used to write for Halmark cards, so he'll give you the lines to use as well. That's why they call me the problem solver (along with other things too profane to share).

40 is down. I took it to Master Bend to have some work done to the exhaust, brought it back (they were too busy) and the radiator fluid leak has gone from decent, to manageable, to undriveable. The problem is with the lower thermostat housing and those are unobtainium... I can get one from Australia, and it will show up long after the baton has passed through, but I will no longer have use of my temperature gauge :bang: The only other option is helicoils, which I have, but I also know my limitations with attempting to drill out the old holes. Does anyone know of a good machine shop? It's just 3 holes - and a 4th if they can fix my boogered up helicoil from the last time.

Edit: It was the upper housing. I was able to apply torque without stripping the lower housing. Swapped out the housing and gasket. After MasterBend does the exhaust next week, 40 will be ready for St Augustine.

Just saw this. For reference sake Fisk Automotive machine shop does excellent work and reasonable prices. Had them do my 22RE block and head a while back and they did a stellar job.

@Beau Diddly, got the springs! @ErikinSC & @CharlestonG8R, got the Backwoods Bastard! Jeremy will be picking up the windshield....not sure yet on the tires/rims. Looking to bring the 80 now so tires/rims are possible if they are off the 45 at Trollhole's (will see him today)....planning on being at Cars & Coffee about 8 am and then attending some of the HAMOM afterwards.

Great! @forrest5000 will probably want me to pull the skinnies off my 45, will try to do that today. Having the wheels at Marshall's will allow me to bring David the wagon wheels for his 40. If you don't have space to take the skinnies back, I don't think Eric is hurting for them...

Edit: The owner at MasterBend is passing some kidney stones. If he doesn't get to the exhaust this week, the 40 will be undriveable this weekend... I won't rush him, though, that pain seems to be unimaginable.

Edit: Jeff, has anyone mentioned how awesome you are lately? Really appreciate all you do, sir.

I can vouch for his pain...never knew one could hurt so bad.

Sorry for my lack of participation lately, i have spent the last 4 months traveling for work and am finally back in the low country. @dbenke I would be more than willing to help with the trusses this weekend. I did come back with a nice little present though... I found it in Charlotte and drove it back on Sunday.

Didn't your brother have one of those?

I actually bought it from him. He is moving to New York and can't take it.

You don't want to be burdened with that.......Let me take that distraction off your hands!

What year?

Ha! Glad to help out! Wife said tires can ride with us as long as they are in bags so they don't smell!! I wasn't aware that tires smelled (or at least said smell was never offensive to moi) So, the skinnies need to be bagged if they are to go back to GVegas with me and I don't have a leg to stand on Saturday as it's my lovely wife's birthday!

It's a 1988.

Let me know if you ever want to sell....I have a red 88 but grey is my favorite color and the plan is to eventually sell the red to get a grey!
