Remember, he is out of his misery there was no point in letting him suffer. I have done it once before and have to do it again in about a month or so. It's not fun. Take care.

Sorry to hear that man, my heart goes out to you! I lost my best friend of 11 years last April and I still think of him daily. Just remember the good times you had and know that you gave him a great life.

God Bless ya man. It is always tough to lose a loyal and trustworthy
friend.
Have you read the Rainbow Bridge story?
I can't attach a link from work, but a search will turn this wonderful
story.

yeah- the vet gave me a copy of it. I'm not really a believer in the after-life- so it didn't mean a lot to me- but I appreciate the thought nonetheless. Elliot was a good dog, not very bright, but really loyal. I can't think how many times we had to go have stuff picked out of his corneas because he would stick his massive head out the window of the truck, tongue hanging, slobber trailing down the rear quarter glass, beating me in the back of the head with his tail. Good times.

im very sorry.

That sucks. My condolences. :frown:

I offer my condolences. 120 lb. lab is big, I've got a 75 lb. yellow lab. He will be 6 in February. We do grow attached to them for sure. Cherish the time you had with him, he may be gone but not forgotten.
