Well I had a couple hours this afternoon before I had to get the kids and this is what I got done.

I was getting tired of taking my sub box in and out everytime that I needed to use my back seats. It is nothing fancy just some cheap Jenson 8" subs. I'm not one to normally use camo, I try to keep it just for hunting, but I already had everything to do this with and that kept me from having to go to the store.

Now I have to put something behind the lic plate to keep it from vibrating. Cause I don't like that now it sounds like my tailgate is about to fall off at anytime. Not to mention I apparently look old as **** or at least to old to be vibrating and bounding down the road.

I've got some sound dampening stuff. I can probably give you a few square feet if you want it.

Thanks for the offer but just a little piece of self stick rubber behind the plate will take care of it, or if the plate had four screws in it.

Do you do a lot with audio stuff?

I wouldn't say a lot mostly just my cars and then any family or friends that want something done. But if you are wanting something done I am more than willing to help you. I can help you build or install just about any of it, but I can't tell you what works the best together that I have always relyed on friends who use to work in this field. And if you just want to drop it off and pay someone to do it I have a friend down in tuscaloosa who use to install audio systems and did it for about 7 yrs.

I bought my cruiser with big speakers in the front doors. The passenger one came loose and is currently residing in the living room. The door panel just seems to be flimsy cardboard. I don't know how to reinstall the speaker, because the mounting points are ripped off the rest of the panel.

It's all pretty jacked up. I don't think it's the first time it's happened... I need a more permanent solution.

Get some 1x2 pieces of wood(I would think 3/4" would not interfer with the glass) cut them in about 4" strips and glue them to the backside of the door panel. After it dries drill a pilot hole in the wood so the screw goes in easier and doesn't push the wood off the panel. Now the panel will be sandwiched between the wood and speaker spreading the force out on the panel. If the wood is to thick then swap it for metal strips and assemble it with panel off the door and use nuts and bolts instead of screws. Sorry for the long response and I hope this helps.

I thought they might make something like a pie pan that I could slide behind there to distribute the weight, but I know so little about audio I didnt even know where to start googling to try and find anything like what I have in mind. wood is a good idea, I have plenty left over from "rebuilding" my rear storage box. thanks
