In my eternal journey or more and better lighting I bought a set of osram and another set of philips extreme bulbs

Also I was about to test these LED H4 bulbs

As you can tell they are not up to the task ( that was expected) here they are against 90/100 bosh bulb

Then I proceed to test the osram in both my hella and bosh headlamps

Did the same thing with the philips extreme bulbs

Both in low and hi beams it's fair to add both the osram night breaker plus and the philips extreme are 55/60 bulbs but they are to my naked eye the same think compared to my old bosh bulbs

I have had the nightbreakers in every car ive had in my family for a couple of years now. The illumination is great, even better considering it does not affect the amp draw.

Lately ive been wondering if getting higher wattage bulbs for my 90 series cruiser would make illumination better or not as Ive heard mixed reports on this, also ive seen complaints on high wattage bulbs burning out too quickly due to heat.

Im not going to modify my wiring or increase my amp draw if the increase in light output isnt easily noticeable. But the part that's got me thinking is, with good quality high power bulbs (say, 100/80 or 130/90) it would be like having a set of driving lights when I turn my high beams on, which, with my spot lights, would be a great combo. But none of this would make sense if the increase in light is less than impressive..

Based on your results and experience, what would you recommend? crank the wattage or leave it with 60/55 night breakers??

as I stated was using 100/90 Bosh bulbs .. with upgraded harness ( and since I'm running all 4 light low and hi I split relays so using total of 6 in my setup ) and I did not see any mayor difference ( naked eye ) between Bosh bulbs and this ones .. ( Osram and Philips ) which talks wonders about Osram and Philips since they are advertised as a less wattage bulb ..

Great, my thinking exactly, dont think it'd be worth the trouble and added hassle of changing to high wattage bulbs if these perform very similarly.

Gracias Mr Tapage!
