Haven't been able to find anyone running 265/70R17 Defender LTX tires on stock suspension and stock 17 7.5 wheels with 25mm offset.

Tires are @$20 per tire cheaper than the stock size 265/65 Defenders.
Looking for an improved stance without lift
No rubbing
No trimming

Open to comments about pros/cons of 265/70 vs 265/65 specific to Defender LTX as that is the tire that will be used.

A 70 series tire will be fractionally taller than a 65 tire, all other things being equal. If Michelin has specs on their tires, look up the size difference. I doubt your Lexus will know or care - those tires would be indistinguishable next to each other. You will get the $20 savings, but little else from this switch.

I run 265/70 on my winter set and 265/65 on my all season. No real difference except 265/70 are easier to find and cheaper, the only reason I have the 65s is because somebody pulled them off of a Taco an was selling them practically new and dirt cheap

Tires are on and there is no rubbing. 2008 GX470 | Arizona No Rust Rig | 120K | Stock Suspension | Michelin Defender LTX tires 265/70r17 | Beamtech LED Lows & Highs | LED interior/exterior lighting replacement kit.. Next up is a call to United Radio to deal with my failing Mark Levinson amp

I'm running them in that size on T4R forged Rock Warrior wheels with an Ironman stage 3 foam cell pro lift w/arms. It rubs at the back of the front wheel wells. I love the tires but it's all about wheel offset.

2023 Toyota rims with 265/70R17 on my just purchased stock 2005 GX470. No rubbing and no trimming. No rubbing when braking straight or while in a turn. No rubbing when driving 20 mph over big speed bumps.
