Hi all, I'm considering a 2014 GX460 as a tow vehicles for a smaller enclosed trailer. I can't seem to find door swing radius and minimum height clearance figures. Mainly interested to determine above tongue clearance and distance to the v nose on the trailer.

Does anyone have this info that they'd be willing to share?

The height of the receiver may depend upon whether or not you're using the factory receiver or one that's on a aftermarket bumper.
Although, in general, this is the first time this question has ever come up, with many of the forum members pulling trailers. So I'm not really thinging it's an issue unless you have a very short tongue on your trailer.
Ask your trailer to stick it out and say, "Ahhhh", then measure the tongue!

I didn't measure, but I have my trailer spare tire bolted onto the tongue of my little 4'x8' utility trailer. I had to move it back 6" or so to clear the door. :meh: That's all I got. If you have an M416 or M101 you might have more issues. Door can't be more than 5' wide. At a 45 degree angle....chuck, ca'chunk, ...pythagorean something or other... 5 on the hypotenuse... right isosolece... can't extend in the center more than 3.5 feet from the door jamb. If your v-nose is that close, that's be strange...

Thanks for checking k

Thanks for your reply. I actually test drove a GX460 which led me to the same conclusion. No Bueno. Picture attached for reference. It might work on a longer tongue trailer, but not mine.

Not sure if you're aware, but the rear glass does lift up, if that helps any? On the 470's that was not available.

This might be an occasion where a ball drop hitch and lift might actually help, lol.
The trailer is relatively level at that position. If it had a longer tongue it wouldn't be an issue.

Or if you do one of those stupid 12" lifts! Then you'd use a drop hitch. No problems! :p
