Did you go back to stock or change over to another bumper or vehicle altogether?

I switched to a Victory Blitz bumper which required a new grill, bumper cover, and fender liners. The Ironman bumper is a beast and looked pretty good for the past two years, but is overkill for what I do.

Whoever buys this can save all their factory parts to revert back to the factory setup if desired. I should mention that the bumper cover is Blue…which can be painted to match your rig.

I had one on our last GX, I loved it but the Victory is nice too. GLWS!

I may be replying to something I should not and so please steer if there is a better place for this?

So I am currently driving a stock 21 having recently parted ways with a properly modded 200LC and I miss having the freedom the 200 offered in terms of overall clearances off road... for the GX, I am planning a 2" lift with a 32" tire / 17" wheel upgrade. when I add that up, I should increase ride height by about 2.5"-3" and the angles (approach/departure) should correspondingly improve from low 20's to higher 20's... what I am struggling with is what to do with the front end... the goal would be to get as close to the LC approach angle as practical. I think I was probably in the mid 30's, given the work I done...

Options i am considering:

1. Viper cut of stock bumper would be low cost to implement, would increase approach angle, but offer nothing in terms of increased protection.

2. The Blitz is very appealing as it blends well with the existing body lines, offers recovery points, would improve approach angle and at least appears to offer bash protection.

3. The Ironman appears very robust and I would assume is the best option for someone looking for maximum off road performance and willing to sacrifice weight considerations while committing to full expedition look?

Since both @Tex68w and @BazGX460 have had benefit of wheeling with multiple bumpers, I am curious which you prefer, given your experience?

If I had it to do over again I would go with the Victory Blitz. We have a 2022 that we plan to keep for the long haul and it might get a 2" lift and the Blitz in the next 1-2 years. I doubt I go above the 32's that are on there now in stock form, maybe a 32.5" tire at best.

Thanks for the reply. And blitz is where I am leaning… I too may test a 32.5 when I start the process. I plan to do the kdss drop - folks have confirmed a 32 will fit spare when that’s in play but I have not heard of anyone attempting beyond that. May as well try it out…

I just added the OEM Class IV hitch and now the 32" KO2 on the factory wheel wont fit back in the spare location. I have yet to try and deflate so I'll see how that goes before I resort to trying KDSS spacers.

The spacers may be the ticket… if deflating is you first option, you could certainly make it work with a heavy duty ratchet strap to slightly deform tire?
