Hey y'all,

Added another ride to fleet this summer. Wife got a sweet 2008 GX 470. Yesterday the passenger side wiper quit moving. It appears the bushing on the linkage wore out and it won't stay on the ball. Has anybody replaced these bushings before? If so, were did you get them? I see Doorman makes them but I cannot find any that are vehicle specific. I will try the dealer when they open, but I fear they are gonna want to sell the whole assembly.

Thanks in advance.

I was able to replace the wiper arm bushing and get the PS wiper working again for under 10 US dollars. Here's how:

I used a wiper arm bushing for a Camry/Avalon (NAPA P/N: 675-1595, Doorman P/N: 49448)
Removed wipers
Removed cowl
Removed the wiper linkage arm / motor assembly
Cut old bushing out
Drilled out hole with a step drill to accept new bushing (sorry, I didn't measure the diameter, maybe made the hole 1/16" bigger)
Modified new bushing (cut excess length off just below first raised ring)
Pressed new bushing in (using a couple sockets and a press so as not to collapse bushing)
Snapped new bushing onto wiper arm ball
Reinstalled wiper arm linkage / motor assembly.

Modify the bushing.
Pictured is the unmodified bushing. You need to trim off the bottom (open side) of the bushing just below the raised ring that intersects the slots.

Very nice - thanks for posting the update!
