1. In many states, you are required to carry any firearm in a locked case - hardcase, trunk, box, but NOT the glove compartment or console. Unless you have a CCW.
2. Get stopped by a cop and he sees the gun, he has probable cause to roust you and search the vehicle.
3. Why invite theft?
I carry mine in the storage box drawer in the rear of my cruiser. I'd just as soon that no one knew I have weapons on board.
