Hi everyone, name is Drew and I'm in Thousand Oaks, PRK.

Currently have '86 and '87 4Runners, the '87 is stock and I'm going to sell it soon as I find a nice LC or LX. The '86 used to be a wheeler but has been rusting away in my backyard for four years awaiting a solid-axle swap. (If you still have the old copy of Petersen's 4-Wheel & Off-Road that covered the first "Ultimate Adventure", it's the silver 4Runner.) Other hobbies such as surfing, skiing, and mountain biking have unfortunately taken over, but I can't bring myself to sell the 'ol truck. Someday I'll make the time and finish building it.

Anyhow, nice to meet you guys, looking forward to the whole 80 thing!
:D

A warm welcome to ya!

We've had lots of new members lately.

Welcome aboard :flipoff2:

Just want to say Hi! and Welcome! :flipoff2:

Welcome and you will find that this board is really helpful on here with anything. There are some guys here that are amazing with landcruisers. I am not one of them though so im just saying welcome and good luck!

Yeah, I was surprised how active this board is! I used to hang on www.pirate4x4.com quite a bit but not so much these last few years.

Yeah mud is better. And I hear they don't rag on you as much here. Man if I was on pirate I would really get worked on by the guys there. Sorry about the language before. :D

As an admittedly (very) junior member, I too welcome you. Something great about this forum is that it largely stays family friendly, such that you don't have to worry about your 8 year old being in the room as you read about a birfield repack.

You will find people on here much more tolerant, humble, and patient than on pirate. Unless of course you act like Stuck in GA. :flipoff2:

I'm glad you mentioned this as the mods work pretty hard to keep the language and the content clean here in the 80 section. (Chat is wide open so use caution when visiting there.) Notwithstanding some recent posts by FSIMIG, things stay very civil here.

I've been known to contribute to some double-entendre's but nothing a pre-teen would pick up on. :D
