Several of us Old Timers went from '99 until the mid 2000s when it was at Tellico, greatest TLCA event ever. I'm planning to attend this year.

I'm seriously considering this too. Kristin is down in that neck of the woods (Bristol) and she wants to go wheeling.

Why did it have to be this week?! Both a kid's birthday and anniversary that week. Ugh. :bang: Guess I should have planned better.

I think GSMTR fell on Mothers' Day every year I attended with Ryan and Matt but that didn't stop us.

I'll bring some flowers for you Bob, you Mother...#%*@*#! :flipoff2:

I have never been and definitely will give it a strong maybe. Besides Bob will need help uprighting his forty when he flops. Will my taco wiggle thru NC trees or should I consider trailering the forty?

Make it happen, we ain't getting any younger! The Taco will be fine!

Good point from Frank the Tank. Besides FJ40 old fart is getting up there fast, and this could easily be his last season on the trail and I don't want to miss it. If not him, definitely that red 40. I'll upgrade my response to a yes, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

The Tacoma will do nicely. GSMTR '17 is at Windrock/Coal Creek, Oliver Springs, Tennessee. It is about 30 miles west of Knoxville, TN.

I rode shotgun with @TRFCSUX in '12 or '13. Good times, indeed. Be prepared for rain and mud. LOL

That was my first wheeling event. Fun times indeed!

Hope to see you there Bob. Planning on going myself.

Sounds like we have some pretty good traction for good CLCC contingent attending. Rubber will meet the road when we start the registration process, but it sounds like we will have 5-6 trucks at least and maybe more.

If a Land Rover LR 3 can make it, a Taco will have no problems. Last year a new stock LR 3 was in our group.

The truck is lifted, armored and built to the nines, so the capability isn't an issue. The length and rooftop tent get me in trouble in wooded trails. Probably not my tacos fault. More driver error from wheeling usually with my forty.

Probably three to four Keystone Cruisers as well...some of which, coincidentally, are also CLCC members.
