One of my many goals that I'll probably never get to (like cleaning out and organizing my garage) is find all the various tents I have in my garage, sort and organize them, and then get rid of them one way or another. I'm guessing I have at least 6 .
For the occasional times I/We do ground tent, I hate the damn things. Cheap, crappy poles etc etc etc etc. And I'm much too cheap to buy a really expensive ground tent for the rare times I use them.
Some of you might have heard of Oztents, a very slick design that sets up in "30 seconds" which is more or less true and from all accounts is quite a nice tent system. They are rather pricey though.
I stumbled across an American outfit that sells a similar design (blatant rip off actually...not that I care) that is considerably less, so much less it's worth a try..and their tent shaves 4 seconds off the Oztent time!
No I haven't ordered one yet, and lets be honest, it will probably be quite sometime before I do,if I ever do, but hey..it's free to browse and dream!
