One of my many goals that I'll probably never get to (like cleaning out and organizing my garage) is find all the various tents I have in my garage, sort and organize them, and then get rid of them one way or another. I'm guessing I have at least 6 .
For the occasional times I/We do ground tent, I hate the damn things. Cheap, crappy poles etc etc etc etc. And I'm much too cheap to buy a really expensive ground tent for the rare times I use them.
Some of you might have heard of Oztents, a very slick design that sets up in "30 seconds" which is more or less true and from all accounts is quite a nice tent system. They are rather pricey though.

I stumbled across an American outfit that sells a similar design (blatant rip off actually...not that I care) that is considerably less, so much less it's worth a try..and their tent shaves 4 seconds off the Oztent time!

No I haven't ordered one yet, and lets be honest, it will probably be quite sometime before I do,if I ever do, but hey..it's free to browse and dream!

have you looked at the inflatable tents? there used to be a company in kelowna or something that made them but seems like there are all sorts of chinese copy now. baisically the poles are like bicycle inner tubes and all you have to do is hook up an air line. they even had a safty relive valve. you can also plum up your air matress and get all done at once or heck even throw a blow up doll in there. all in one shot.

Got a link to that ? At one point i was thinking of building a air rtt. I know the boys at work have have designed air walls and rain covers for the movie industry. Proven to be quite profitable. I used to have one of those survival rafts we used to use for a crib slash tent for camping when my kids were young. Then i cut the roof fabric off to expose the roll bar roof system and used it for a kiddy wading pool in the yard for years.

i looked but doesnt sound like they are around anymore. well built units. there may be some demo vids left on you tube. for some reason ozone rings a bell

Like this kind of inflatable tent?.......

Well, I did just buy one of these from REI. Fits nicely against the back of the 60 with OME and 33"
http://www.rei.com/product/794290/rei-alcove-shelter Same idea as to what gofast showed
It was $109, #15lbs all in it's bag so its easy to pack in the truck. The extra fly-wall covers 2 sides for side rain. Very light.
