Hey!

Im trying to help my GRJ76 cope better with the extra load it has. Around 100kg at the front (winch + bumper) + 200-300kg at the back (tent, rack, drawers)

The idea at the moment is to use the more "heavy duty" leafspring + springs from the GRJ79. I cant really make the vehicle higher, 2cm is ok - but with a 5cm lift I wont fit into my garage anymore.

Does anybody know if this is possible and the length is the same between the 76 and 79?

Good idea? Bad idea? Happy for any advice :)

Hello,

Quite likely, rear springs are not the same length.

There are OEM heavy duty rear leaf springs which have eight leaves per assembly if I remember correctly.

For the front, there are OEM heavy duty coils intended for use with a winch.

These parts do not lift the truck much. And they are an option to consider.
