Hi All,

I am soon going to re-spray my 80, looking for ideas on two tone or single tone grey colours members may have done on their rigs. Pics would be helpful!

Thanks

Regards

Always liked gun metal gray.

Google images may be some help

Theres the two factory 80 grays
A couple folks have done the new fjc cement
Even a gray monstaliner or two on here

I had a body shop test spray a fender when I almost went silver top over moonglow bottom using the high fender/55 line. Ill look for the fender pic but not sure i have still

Gun Metal sounds good, but what color code, i have seen different shades, some dark and others light

Was thinking dark metallic grey or Gunmetal with the wheel arches and lower part of doors in Silver or light grey....

My buddy is getting his 80 painted Toyota Cement Gray (The new Tundra/Tacoma color). I'll post pics sometime this week. :)

Moonglow is the only gray that matters. But if you want to go wild and do jams and engine bay, go for broke and grab some factory Quicksand. Mmmmmmmmm.

Thanks for the replies guys, i was thinking of light grey on the wheel arches, but then noticed the mudflaps are black, so may look odd.....

Cement is my fav for any current ‘Yota single stage color (any single stage TBH) - that on a 80 that was black, moonglow or DD & got the grey interior makes for a cohesive look that as long as you spray the doorjambs, the engine bay can get a full mask & not make for a stupid looking final product.

In that vein, I’m surprised guys don’t buy black 80’s with good mechanicals they plan to do a full color swap. A black engine bay doesn’t look stupid like say a burgundy 80 resprayed a clashing color.

+1 to Cement.
Esp looks great even when dirty or out of direct sunlight IMO.
