Walking and spectacting the hard trails will def. be a good way to see what to look forward to. Are little pit bikes alowd at gretchen's? I have a lil PW that sure beats walking....and is just fun to cruise..

Martin, You try that new "pinball" trail? If so you think I could get my tintop down it?

Russ' Ridge was the perimeter road and is moderate, can be hard in the wet if you have a bigger rig like an FJC or 80 and care about body damage. The new perimeter (at least on the NW side) is called "Everything Sucks" or trail 8, and is a winch-fest even for the buggies. Don't take a wrong turn :)

Easy Street is not easy. You can do it with a full bodied rig but only if you don't care about the body. You will need to be heavily modified if you don't want to winch over everything (lockers, 35+). Elm Street is even worse. The other two trails to avoid if you have body panels are the bunghole and the taint.

A lot depends on how wet things are. I was there last weekend and it was fairly dry, so it is a bit easier than normal in general. In the wet, you have to be careful even on the easy trails or you will slide into trees.

Attached is the latest Gretchen's map.

N8 shy!!!!!!!:hhmm:

We do not post addresses because we are a public forum and the land is private property.

Jeepercreepers? What are YOU driving? : )

He's got an offroad heep buggy thingamagig. I wheel with him alot with his onroad rig and convinced him that joining YT was Ok since there were no prejudices. (Plus the Prez said it was OK) He and I will be at Gretchen's on Friday morning around 10 if anyone wants to join us. He's nothing like me, so there's no reason to Dis him :flipoff2:

Larry, I will be there earlier than I previously thought.
Your tall and skinnies are packed in the truck.

There's a good chance at ten you may find the gate closed.
I'm not sure when she opens it but people who go early often complain about it being closed.

I have never been to Gretchen's when it hasn't rained.
Not even trail cuts.....it's always raining.
Has anyone seen it when the sun has been out?

It's been sunny before. Funny thing is it only started raining after you became prez.

I think it's some sort of curse.
Any other club event or trail ride we have had perfect weather for.
Not at Gretchen's.....To think, the idea of wheeling Gretchen's twice in a year was to give the club an opportunity to see it in the sun because the Fall Gathering rain tradition seems unbreakable.

Fail!
