HI ALL,

My first post here.

I am Shahid from Dubai, UAE. Always been a great Prado fan. I had a 1999 LWB A/T Prado 3400 cc V6 with 5VZFE engine. During last 8 years drove it to the desert and in the city 295,000 KM. Even after this it climbed dunes like it did on day 1.

Now I have retired it and swapped it with a friend for a 1997 SWB Manual Prado LC 90, which has done just 175,000 KM. Preparing this vehicle right now.

There is plenty of Desert and Mountain valleys ( Wadi ) here. We have an off road club dubai4x4.com with 2900 members. We go off road every weekend. Our weekends are Friday and Saturday.

In the old LWB Prado I had installed OME Nitro shockers, stronger tow points, 275/70/R16 tyres, a T MAx winch and ARB front bumpers along with spot lights and driving lights.

The SWB is being prepared with OME lift kit, cut back exaust, performance plugs, K & N intake and pre charger.

Always a Landcruiser fan, for my city use too I have a Landcruiser 100, VXR V8 petrol engine. Fuel is cheap here so no bother about gas guzzling engines.

For the desert rallies I am sponsored by Toyota, Dunlop Tyres, Total Lubricants and GARMIN.

Hope to find quite a few Prado enthusiasts here and develop lasting friendships.:)

Hi Desert Fox,

I just came from Dubai and I had a blast. I joined the Dubai4x4 but I cannot get my password. I sent my e-mail and everything but just won't let me in.

Anyway, welcome to the forum:flipoff2:

I was in Dubai a few years ago and I have to say it is agreat place and only getting better. The beaches were really nice and so was the Dubai Seamans center. Also the food and shopping were excellent.
