I think I am in the correct location. Intro thread. Soon to be proud owner of a 97 FZJ80. I had tinkered with this "Landcrusher" for several years off and on with the present owner. The present owner has too many vehicles and is planning to downsize the number. I said Yus! I'm an XJ person ('99) but I think I can be a Landcruiser one too. I may have to build a new garage now. I plan to do a through fluid change and TLC maintenance/rust check before modding.

Welcome to mud. :flipoff2:

We need pics or it didn't happen.

I am very sorry that you have been infected with this incurable disease. It's not terminal but it usually is fairly expensive. But seeing that your a jeep guy you're probably already used to spending quite a bit on you afflictions .

Welcome and more info please

I love working on these vehicles. I'm waiting to get the Landcrusher (the kids named it years ago) to see it's condition...and snap a pic. It's been a while since I seen the cruiser. Hopefully, it will arrive in May (end of school year), then the fun begins.

Which "Webster" are you from? Asking as I grew up a couple towns over from Webster NY.

Welcome! I just got here too.

Both the LC and XJ are very capable off-roaders. I had one waaay back. That I6 4L HO was an iron horse! Ended up trading it for an Is300 which also has an I6.

I have special feels for I6 vehicles guess.

Forgot to post a pic. Got it in August. So far....Replaced front bumper, replaced door seals, trunk seals, window belts, front shocks. Replace trim moldings on driver side. Working on passenger side. remove roof rack and applied rust inhibiter. Stubbied the antenna. Replaced leaky oil seals. To do in the next month: replace cable harness from battery to everywhere, Remount(pulled it out) spare tire holder with "5inch mod", more lighting, LED bulb interior/door lighting.

What antenna did you put in? Does it get AM reception well? I still listen to sports on the radio and AM is easier than trying to find it streaming somewhere on my phone.
