Are you looking for 5-star "bill it to the company" or off the beaten path?

3 quick ones ...

Fishbones at 2119 Walker Ave Greensboro, NC 27403. Sort of college pub setting but the food is great.

Green Valley Grill at 622 Green Valley Rd Greensboro, NC 27408. This is where a lot of the "In town for business" folks eat.

Lablon Brazillion at 106 S Holden Rd Greensboro, NC 27407. A place to try if you're serious about eating a lot of meat prepared in roughly a dozen different ways.

I'm sure some other locals can add on.

Enjoy!

My wife and I have been happy with the Mexican food at Mi Pueblo
111 Northpoint Ave in High Point.

Rice has you on a good start......

and on 3 of 4 corners at walker/elam intersection there are restaurants. well all 4 if you count biker joint
and as an added bonus the owner of 2 of them is a cruiserhead. Filling station and Stick n Stones pizza are the two others that id recommend along with Fishbones

as far as highpoint there is the DogHouse for hot dog lunch down town... cash only and may be more nostalgia than quality but it still gets the raves.....just havent been since i was a kid

also there is the Chop House in Greensboro (market st beside leblon) and its toned down variety... Chop House Grill in High point (hwy 68/eastchester rd) with more lunch fair and slightly relaxed pricing

Blue Water Grill is a nice dinner spot in High Point. Bout as fancy as it gets here but not over the top.
its hidden between Johnson and Main streets on a little side road. Its not a 20 dollar dinner but one place where the quality matches the price

golden bee for breakfast/lunch on main street (HP) gets good reviews but Ive struck out there personally

but for pizza n beer in High Point you have Blue Rock pizza

Hamilton Street bistro (under name change) at lexington and johnson st is a good lunch spot too

and depending on how many unobtanium 45 pieces you stuffed in your suitcase I got a new tank o gas here at the house :D

Downtown Greensboro has a lot of options and new ones each time I go it seems. Might be worth a drive/walk down Elm and Green just perusing if you have the time/desire. Cafe Europa has the half price bottle of wine and outdoor films on wednesday, there is (was) a great Tapas restaurant by the name Tapas but i believe it might have relocated, and several small independants tucked in along the way. Really dont visit downtown enough to give you better advice

just shy of downtown there is Friendly shopping ctr at West Friendly avenue and Green Valley rd.
Green valley grill is just outside here but in the center is a smorgasbord of options from five guys burgers to a fancy steak haus and plenty of retail to keep any spare time occupied. Heck even the grocery store (harris teeter) here makes a great meal stop.

oh and dont eat for a day or so before you go to Leblon....
this is a professional meat eaters venue ! its like red light/green light as a kid.
If your coaster is green they will keep bringing you different meats on a served on a sword
and dont expect to many veggies...... i think i asked for some and got a strange look and some carrot discs in a condiment cup :D

Greensboro and Dublin? Work for Volvo or Mack? lol I live in GSO and grew up in Dublin. I can definitely give you the hook up there.

Allison Transmission, but I'm going to volvo and Thomas Bus this week.

Figured it was Volvo related. No one just "goes" to Dublin. lol Honestly Dublin sucks for food. There is a mexican joint right by Walmart that's not bad and Ciro's in town makes a pretty mean cheese steak. Honestly, you are better off going to Radford which is maybe 10 minutes from Dublin. BT's and Macadoo's are great little places to eat and grab a beer. Sal's pizza there in Radford is pretty good as well. As far as evenings go, head into Christiansburg and Blacksburg for a far better selection.

Man ain't that the truth. lol. Have only been once since their new location but is usually pretty solid. Rearn Thai on Market street is pretty good. There are a ton of options, it all depends on your mood.

Right around where you will be of Hwy 68 there are soooo many options. 66 pizzeria is Kernersville is great as well as Amalfi's. We do Prissy Polly's BBQ a lot on hwy 66 and not to mention good ole Country BBQ on 68.....Jason approves that one for sure. For some good southern fare try the Moose cafe at the farmers market off Sandy ridge road.

Don Juan's is probably my favorite Mexican place. It's on main street in Kernersville. If you want some good Irish fare try Macool's in GSO or the Claddagh in High Point. Natty Greene's in GSO is always a good time.

Hope some of these help. I work at Volvo so if you wanna grab lunch lemme know. Jason is also local. ;) Happy wrenching.

Leblon is awesome. As long as the coaster is green, they keep bringing meat. All different cuts of Steak, pork, sausages, and who knows what else. I wanted to wear my coaster like a Flavor Flav clock when i staggered out of there in a near meat coma...Green Valley Grill is awesome. Lucky 32's is right around the corner from both of those places, and is good. Tripps on West Wendover or New Garden Road are good local chain places with a pretty varied menu. If youre here on a Monday, the Porterhouse Grill on West Market Street offers 5.00 burgers that are worthy of a cow sacrifice. Its kinda hard to find the place the first go around, but worth it. The Moose Cafe is great, but go there hungry and be prepared to waddle out. Thats right near Volvo's building. The Village Tavern on Westridge/Battleground Ave is a good place as well. Very long lines there though.

Be prepared to wait a little while for most of these places. They do get a bit crowded at normal dinner hours.
