Hello all, new 100 owner here in Colorado. Bought this rig from BenRoberds in Nevada. He and his wife kept it clean for the last decade or so and I hope to keep it going (albeit with a little more off-road emphasis).
190k miles, still feels like a new car. Absolutely silent and smooth on the highway and I havent found a single feature that doesn't work or part that needs replacement. Tires were worn when I bought, but I was planning on 285s so I wont count that.
New 285 BFG AT's
New factory shocks on the way (debating lift eventually, but factory shocks are CHEAP so it's an easy decision for now)
Running boards removed, planning Slee SliderSteps soon-ish
Front Bumper, Front Locker, Rear bumper, Tire carrier, Roof Rack, Rooftop Tent, compressor would all be nice, but we'll see just how obsessed I want to get.
Ran up Chinns Lake yesterday with another 100 series buddy and already got a great demonstration on why diff locks are amazing. I crossed a stream and had a big incline after with loose dirt and buried rocks. With rear diff lock turned off my tires just spun. Rear diff lock on and the exact same line led to no wheel spin whatsoever.
Incredible machines indeed.
