Greasable shackle bolts (1 Viewer)

I am getting a used OME spring kit but the anti inversion shackle bolts will need replacement, since arb does not sell just the bolts is there a greaseable bolt that will work from some other manufacturing co.

I made my own with good luck for ALOT cheaper. I used grade 8 bolts and drilled the centers with a carbide tipped drill bit. Then tapped and installed grease zerks... I have pics somewhere if youre interested in trying to make them yourself...

On my recently installed OME Anti-Inversion shackles the pins threaded into one of the shackle side plates, with a jam nut on the far side. The other plate just slid on as per normal. Would not be an easy part to make without a lathe and a fondness for cutting threads on a lathe.

Belton was building their shackles for quite some time. I believe they use a shouldered bolt. what is the thread diameter and pitch of the shackles you have?

Just so you all don't get too attached to one manufacturer.... belton probably builds it if it's not a Dakar

I believe that Man a Fre carries the 4+ pin in addition to the other suppliers mentioned above.

I don't believe the 4 plus pins will fit the arb shackles . The arb shackles are made in malaysia or close by there. The shouldered pin reduces down to a smaller diameter and is made to tighten with thinner side plates. The 4+ plus pin uses 1/2 fine thread and the shank is shouldered for a 3/8 side plate. The ARB has 1/4 side plates....check out the sight below

This OME kit that I bought is Used and it was made before Dakar was introduced, make a difference?

Replacement OME shackle bolts

I know this is an old thread, but I have the same problem as the original poster. I am trying to find replacement shackle bolts for an older set of OME anti-inversion shackles. Was anything suitable found?

that's the problem with buying imported crap... no customer service... it's like my Husky cement mixer
from home depot.. no replacement parts...just buy a whole new one
