Here is my new Hundy... She is different then most i've seen.. Never seen one missing the 3rd row seats and no real AC.. It's been reffered to as a unicorn by some mudders... When i got her she only had a little over 90K on the clock.. I figured the miles were low for a 99.. It was regulary maintained at the Yota dealership in town.. It's never left FL, the interior in mint and so is the paint..

So no Roof Rack
No 3rd row seats
No 3rd row AC
No 3rd row power window thingy

Super cool truck in my opion...

Old Post asking questions about the rig..

That's interesting. Mine is "rare" in that it came without heated seats and a rear heat option. Mine was originally ordered to Hawaii which I presume had something to do with it. It also doesn't show up on the Toyota owner's website as a result of coming here through Hawaii for some dumb reason.

I've seen 2 100 series without the 3rd row seats, no rear hvac, no operable rear windows, no sunroof, no roof rack and cloth interior here in the US on Autotrader which is what is typically called the poverty pack since they are more akin to what you'd see in a third world country. Personally I like them how they come to the US with all the niceties :D

I'm curious as to how much cheaper the "poverty" pack was, because I'm assuming that most of the price tag goes into all the durability of these trucks and only a little goes into the niceties!

I have not yet pulled up the factory carpet yet, but direct under the weathertech there are no mounts and when i feel around i can't find anything... Maybe once i pull it up ill find the punchout in the floor pan..

It does have the rear heat control under the armrest console area.. My 470 had the HVAC vents in the ceiling so i imagine there was something in the walls to make that system work.. This ceiling has the form for it but no actual vents...

I miss the seats but appreciate the extra cargo space..

interesting, so even under that weathertech mat there's not mounts for the 3rd row to add them in? Does it have rear heat? Or not rear hvac at all? Looks good though!

In terms of luxuries, the one I could do without is power seats. Frankly, their slow, and break. I love just lifting a lever and sliding the seat forward and back quickly. I also like pulling the side lever and leaning back quickly for a nap and coming back up quickly when I wake up. With the power seats on the LC, everything is sooooo slooooowwww. Don't even get me started on the power windows.

I know what you mean it's definitely a weakness..

I hear you, I'm of the thinking that I prefer the rear heat over the rear AC. I get more storage area, and my front AC is good enough for me. The rear heat helps the truck heat up sooo much faster in the winter too, without blowing in your face if you're not into that. I'd take both, but if I had to choose one I'm down with the heater.

Sounds like you just straight up don't have accommodations for 3rd row. I always thought they were all shipped to NA with the accommodation, but some not sold with the seats. :meh:

Doooood... TRUE. DAT.

The production date is 8/98.. Here is another thing i noticed, It only came with a single horn...

Mine looks like it came with one horn cause that's the only tooter you can easily see, but my bet is yours has two. Most Toyota's all come with at least a dual tone. Unplug that one and you'll know for sure. Single tone horns sound unique and quite puny.

Yeah, it's a single puny horn... I don't mind.... :-/

Haha. Stink. Well, an air horn would take care of that issue

I ran a carfax (actually it was available online by the dealer) saying that it was originally sold in Guam.
