Alright, 1 quart denatured alcohol, half a tank of premium, timing to back to factory, idle set to 850-900, idle mixture screw one and a half turns over when it affects rpm, drive to DMV, and set hand throttle so I can't hear the motor missing in idle while I was waiting in line...
Drove like Sh!t (up Palisades Blvd in second gear...
), but passed with flying colors

Took me an hour this morning to undo the nonsense and make it run right again
One of these days I've got to figure out exactly which dizzy is in there; it's not the '72, and we're not sure whether it is one from a '76 F2 either. I can make it pass by retarding the poo out of it, but power and usable rpm are down in the dumps. You rev it up under load, and it feels almost like hitting a rev limiter. Now I've advanced the timing again, and it runs quite nice
