I read, listened and believed that the best way to go with a castor correction for our new 80 is using Landtank's brackets. After a few emails and reading through many threads, I saw the most positive feedback came from using them. And, what impressed me most was that when I contacted him, he didn't try to sell me his brackets. He provided some feedback and thought I met the "minimum" for using the brackets but he never said "buy mine" in the PM's and email.

So, now that I've got them, I need to find a "right angle" drill. I can rent one from the local tool rental company for ~$20/day or $14/4 hour but, of course, I'd prefer to borrow one from one of hour many members.

I guess this might fall into that elusive discussion we had with Ramon's idea about having a "tool rental program" where we could get these from our members instead of Grand Junction.

I won't need it until after the OBX trip, realistically, May 9-10 weekend if I'm lucky to get it installed that weekend. Thanks in advance for anyone's help with this and if you want to come buy and do an OME "J" lift install with Landtank brackets...

I'd be down to help out with the install...but no go on the right angle drill.

You can buy a right angle connector to make any drill into a right angle one. As for the actual drill I have one but to get it you'll need to go to my old house in los angeles and pick it up :grinpimp:

Jerry I have a right angle adapter for a drill you are most welcome to borrow!

That's one tool i don't have... But, you can also rent one from home depot.

Thanks Jon, I'll see if we can make it a HAMOM/meeting if no one else signs up for it in May...

Hmmm, maybe later in the summer but not this early...

Hadn't thought about using one of them until the above post...

I didn't know the "Depot" rented tools. I found two at the local Grand Junction, just hoping to save a twenty spot if I can. I'll check them and see what they are charging for a day's rental...

I am not sure all of the depots rent tools. I know for sure the one in fuquay does, as well as the one at six forks and Strickland rd.

I have a couple cordless right angle drills(9.6v Makita and 18v Dewalt). Just let me know if you need one and we can arrange drop off/pick-up.

Robert
