problems solved daily...
A couple things...price and value are 2 different things. I think the value of the cupholder is worth the asking price. You don't currently feel that way -- which is okay.arcteryx said:I think the cup holder is overpriced and if it breaks, then I am screwed, unless I get the 'ole Super glue out! But, being that Slee is the only reseller I have found that sells them, they can command what they want and the consumer must live with it.
If you look long and hard enough, you can find the OEM cupholder for less than $53. It's out there -- in fact, I bought 3 of these same cupholders a couple months ago for just under $40. Why 3? 1 was for the wife's LX 450 and the other 2 I thought I could resell to a couple local guys who currently don't have a cupholder installed.
As for it breaking, I've used mine daily for about 3 years and haven't had a problem -- just use common sense and don't load it up with a 5 pound cup and you won't likely have a problem.
As you'll find, OEM stuff isn't necessarily cheap, but it's quality stuff.
