Did you see a for sale sign on it!!! :) A diesel 60 is a dream of mine.

If it has a 13BT, it's Michael B's

I don't think Koby is running tall skinnies with stock wheels....and I'm pretty sure his exhaust exits under the passenger side rear door in front of the back tire

Not me

I can't lay claim to that one, unfortunately, just to two other silver Austin-based diesel cruisers. And mine's a 12HT :D but won't look quite as nice as the one in the pic for another couple of months...

My other truck, the factory HJ60 with 2H, is still original, still waiting for a recipient truck, still running like a top...

Sorry Michael, I was going to write 12HT, but then I looked back in my notes and saw 13BT. Both are great engines though. Keep us informed on your progress please, you have a beauty of a rig.

How did you come across a fine steed?

I really just happened to talk to the right dismantler at the right time and found a recently (as in that week) rear-ended, babied HJ61. He said since I was 'just up the road' I should come see this one, that it was really a beautiful specimen. I made him an offer for the whole drivetrain a few days later. At this point we'd only talked over email, and he told me later over the phone there's a subdivision or planned community or something near Brisbane called 'Texas', and that his mistake had been my gain. So there are still some very nice, un-abused 12HT's there, but it's a PITA (or once-in-a-lifetime adventure, depending on your perspective) to git 'er done.

I waited 3 months for the dismantling to start over there, paid for a custom steel-framed shipping container that was heavier than my first car, waited another 3 or 4 months for the ship to arrive from Brisbane, and paid what seemed like endless fees to the port authority in Houston. It wasn't cheap to make it all happen, but it was the diesel of my dreams. I've put 30K and some trips on it and am only just now even thinking about tweaking anything -- it's just such a tight drivetrain and I still thank the diesel fairy every night.

No doubt - I'd love a 13BT, too!
