Gordy's trail run - 3/9/13 pics

Three vehicles went to play at the Gordy's trail down near Socorro on Saturday. It was a cloudy and a very breezy day but totally dry. While ABQ received some moisture, Socorro received none. We ran the Pucker fall trail and then drove on the Quebradas Backcountry Byway quite a ways to check out the scenery. The cloudy skies really helped see the color of the landscape.

John Franklin rode with me and was the spotter for the group. Isabelle was my camera person/spotter in training on this run. She fell backwards only once while spotting me and taking pics She quickly figured out it's hard to do both at the same time.

The nice thing about this trail is that it's in a wash, which is nicely protected from the wind. Once we aired back up at the staging area, we got chilled so ended the day at a coffee shop in Socorro before heading back home.

Good times.
