Goose Lake near Cooke City (1 Viewer)

I do not really feel qualified to make trail suggestions in the area. I am kind of new to the area. But last summer I went up a trail near Cooke City that brought me to a nice lake, Goose Lake. I am sure it is still snowy up there now. But later in the season I figure I might go back up and spend night or so camping. I know it is not close to Bozeman but is anyone else interested in this?

Like I said, I don't know a lot about this part of the country so if you guys have better places or comments I am open.

Do you know if it is gated with a seasonal open date? I am in the area once in a while and could do a snow check later on.

I think those trails open in July or August.
