I ordered some 1 5/8" marine grade fill line for my new sub-tank, and as my luck would dictate, they sent 1 1/2".
Stuck with a cut up fill neck and needing to move the vehicel, I am thinking of a temporary fix with Goodyear radiator hose that fits.
Even has some bends in it that should work just right for now.
Will this hose deteriorate and ruin my engine by gumming it up or will it last for a couple of weeks until I can get the right stuff?

It will dissolve quickly, I would not do it.

NO!!!!. BTRepairedT. Radiator hose will degrade immediately or sooner. It creates a black sooty consistency that will clog the fuel pump sock, the fuel filter and possibly the injectors.

I'd make adapters to neck down what you have, or call around to some race shops, visit a marina, put a plug in what you have left.

Hmm... you say you need 13/8" and have 12/8"... Have you thought about stretching it the additional 1/8"?

Get a piece of pipe and a couple hose clamps and reconstruct the stock fuel line. Home Depot is open today! Or any auto parts store wil have a selection of exhaust pipe. The wifes vacuum cleaner?

No.
There is no way to re construct.
And stretching the hose is not an option.
This stuff is wire reinforced and very, very rigid.
It will have to wait.

Hey Jeb

Dont do it! I used a temp hose on the VENT lines and it turned into goo within days!!! Bad news!

Wait for the good stuff!

How much ya need? I may have extra! email or call me
