Looking for a trail to go on this weekend for a little camping/ wheeling. Anyone got some recommendations for during the winter winter season. (or whatever you call this weather) I know a lot of the most popular ones are most likely covered in snow. If anyone could recommend one or two that would be very helpful!

Thanks

Areas that are close to the Napa Valley that have trails and camping.

Knoxville,

Cow mountain,
Lots of trails and camping

Mendocino National Forest,
Many awesome camping areas, mostly fire roads unless you know where to look.

Indian Valley Reservoir,
north end has good steep rutted trails that lead from BLM land into the Mendocino National Forest. You can camp anywhere.

Currently snowless: Anza-Borrego, Joshua Tree and Red Rock Canyon. Death Valley of course but number of trails there have been shrinking in the last few months.

69Vortec - Did I run into you Gold Lake the last couple of years just after 4th of July?

Workingdog,
I'm at Gold Lake every year the week after the 4th. I do remember talking to someone from Santa Rosa a few years ago during that time.
