I won't go back to the one I used to take my FJ60 to. So I'm looking for recommendations. Have any? I know there's Slee in Golden, but I don't really want to drive down there just for an oil change.

Contact Robbie (aka: powderpig) on MUD. He's at 47th Street right near LHM Toyota Boulder.

He's the best there is.

:)

Tell him Onur sent ya. ;)

It's been a long time, but Tim's Toy Shop did my 62 right when I lived in Longmont.

I've been underwhelmed by Tim's. I think it may be a new generation of techs? not sure. They failed to diagnose a 15 degree timing error on my fathers HiLux a couple years ago. Told him he needed a cap and rotor and would be good to go. I stayed out of it and soon after inherited that truck and hit it with my timing light and laughed.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've heard of Robbie, but I thought he was mostly an 80 guy, and that he didn't have an actual shop. I've sent him a message.

if you are a member of TLCA and get trails, he's the LC tech writer.

First post here.

I found this site after 8 yrs / 100k of trouble-free 2000 LC driving caught up with me. Feel like I'm mostly straight now - thanks to MUD & Robbie too. He replaced steering rack for me (which this site convinced me I should not try to do in my gravel driveway by myself!). Having an idea of what it took I'd say the price was more than fair. Robbie does have a shop and was definitely in Boulder 2 wks ago! PM me for his contact info.

yes. Robbie's the best.

He's the only one I let lay a finger on my 60, 40 or 100. As Onur put it, he's the best there is. He's absolutely still around as others have said.
