Just bought a truck, and the springs are totally shot. I'm wondering what a good lift would be to take it back to stock or just over. I know this might be heresy, as people seem to be trying for as much lift as possible (at least from the threads I've read), but I just don't need it. OME dakkar seems to offer 1.5" of lift for the fronts, but 3" for the rear? Is this right?

Thanks for the ejumacation.

nice to hear you finally found a truck. i think you'll find plenty of posts about modest lifts, mostly referring to the long add-a-leafs (search aal) from man a fre

call man-a-fre.
I spoke with (dont recall his name) about a lift and mentioned this truck from a guy living in alaska. They did put a OME and twiked it so that it was evenly 3 inches on the front and back....I think the truck im talking about is featured on their website witht he 4+ front bumper....

i just bought new 0" rear springs from MAF, along with long add-a-leafs.
bought it back up to even height, plus a bit more.gives nice look in the back.

Stock Toyota are available from CCOT (Link)

It's what I'd like but $2K is a bit much

Anyone know how to get a better deal?

I'd have to agree - between 1500 for the ome dakkar springs, shocks, bushings, steering damper, etc, and 2k for the toyota springs, I'd probably pass. Are there even concours guys that would pay that much in the toyota world?

I'll call man-a-fre and see what they suggest. I really don't want to go that high - 1-1.5 inches, some 31s, and call it a day. rather spend the money on lockers etc.

Baldy - thanks - I'm psyched too - now it's just a question of getting the truck out of texas and into my grubby little hands.
