I'm looking at a blue 2008 with 146k. Body is very goid as is paint. Minor edge rust in wheel wells. Inside is pretty good, no fluid leaks, new brake calipers, new rotors, new pads, center diff lock is fast to lock and unlock, hill descent works great. Someone already removed air bags. Typical Illinois rust, but frame is solid, timing belt done at 70k, Nav head. Dealer wants 11,900. What do yall say?

I’m in SoCal, so no idea on rust nor price for your area.

Did you check the Lexus Owners website for a free Lexus maintenance report at dealers? Or carfax?

2008 is a good year since it has a couple minor improvements like the clear tail lights and chrome door handles

I wouldn’t but pictures, especially of undercarriage, would be very helpful. For that money I’d be going to a southern state and finding one with no rust. Definitely check frame with a hammer and screwdriver, paying close attention to right front where AC drains and also rear crossmember. Any codes? NAV sucks, you can replace but it’s not cheap, and the best way(sourcing non nav parts) is very expensive, especially for the 2008. Cost me over $1k, absolutely worth it, took 2 years to source parts.

How are headlights, tires, suspension, axles? Dash cracked? Parts add up, even if you do your own work. Unless Gx is pristine I bet you put 2-5k into it first year alone.

Anyway, if I were to buy a northern gx no way I’m paying over 10k, and probably 8k tops for a nice example. Rust sucks, makes all the repairs harder and that I can say this from experience(2008 blue gx from New England).
