Driley said:I am in Bend. I am planning on doing as much as I can on my LC. I have an old BMW and found a mechanic here in town that specializes in Germany cars. I told him I was looking for a good winter vehicle that had plenty of seating and he said go for a LC. He has a beautiful 89 LC and one of his mechanics is a cruiserhead. He can and will do work on LCs. Very knowledgeable and extremely honest. Here is his contact info:

Just tell him that Riley sent you (he is sad that I am doing some of the work on my LC (no money for him!), but I reassured him that he still gets everything major and pretty much all of the work on the BMW!)

HG
valve job
plugs
shims
h20 pump
fan clutch
new belts
thermo
rear pads (I just didn't get to them)
and injectors
total bill was about $2500 including parts. I'm thinking it would have been half w/o the head work. I had the head done because she got warm and I wanted to be sure everything was as it should be.![]()
