Gold star AND Silver star... still get ads

I have both stars and still get ads. Went ahead and installed adblocker+ was the only way to use the site. Banner ads are appearing on all MUD hosted images. Happy to support the site, but expected the ads to disappear when I bought gold. Ads do not appear in general on other sites, so it's not my PC causing the issue. My silver star expires in a few days so the multi-star test ends soon.

GOLD requires you check the box on your Preferences...you HAVE done that, right?

It's not automatic...it makes the top banner user selectable.

If you are seeing ads ON images, then that's the result of not being logged in. Please provide a screen shot, and I can diagnose any issues.

Thank you for the help. I wasn't aware of the prefs settings and the image ads seems to have disappeared now. Perhaps I was logged out for a while and didn't notice it.

I see in your sig a side note, I bought an '08 GX470 for 'her' as well, great way to get a wife to drive a 'truck' without knowing it!

The GX is awesome...next project (once my shop lift install is done) is to mock up a FJC E-locker for the rear - she's got that on her growing list of modifications

Browsers are "supposed" to keep you logged in...but every security/antivirus/firewall/browser/etc seems to treat that "supposed to" differently. Always the first thing I ask folks to check

@woody can you please tell me or link me to the information about what the banners get you? I know how to upgrade, but I can't find where it tell me what you get (besides supporting this awesome site!) I saw reference to getting the photo cap of 5 per post lifted on some random thread, which would be worth it to me in itself. Thanks!

In the process of that search, I learned a bit more about what you do to keep this site going, amazing! Thanks so much, it has done loads to motivate a member of the younger generation (me) to get into Cruisers. Keep up the good work
