I’ve fitted an oil cooler to cool the atf from the automatic gearbox. The oil also runs first through the main radiator then through the new cooler. But I think this system is also cooling the engine coolant so the temp gauge needle is now between the middle and cold whereas before it was always smack in the middle when the engine warmed up. Laser temp gauge pointed at the block reads 80°Cwhen engine’s hot which I believe’s a bit low but living in kenya maybe this isn’t a bad thing. I made the change after I got frightened when the atf warning light came on going up some heavy duty off road hills but it hasn’t come on since. Any ideas on if I should be worried about it or is it better to just be running a bit cool . AI tells me 90°C to 105°C is correct
