Gold emblems = KDDS

I've found the truck to buy but concerned about kdds and gold package. Does the gold trim/emblems automatically mean kdds?

No. I have kdss and no gold. Look for all the plumbing on the left side frame rail and giant front sway bar

What I mean is, does the gold trim package always include kdds? I ended up running the vin and it's showing kdds which I don't want.

There's an 07 in Houston with 60k and kdds if anyone's interested.

I think the only model that included it as standard was the sport, which would have the dark grey wheels, and dark wood trim interior. Most others I believe it was an option for, so really can't tell one way or the other with the gold package unless you look at the frame rail (or piston boot on front sway bar) - which is easy to spot.

the gold package you speak of does not exsist. its a dealer thing. some dealers put gold emblems on their rigs to make them look flashyer... the gold emblems dont mean a dang thing other than the origonal owner was a fool and paid way too much

Gotcha, I figured it was a factory thing.

The gold package is what people over the age of 75 invented. Most likely a babied Lexus.
