Hey guys, uzj noob here. I'm going to check out a 2000 Cruiser tomorrow that I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy. It's a one-owner, 165k mile, Hollywood, CA car and from looking at the carfax it was dealer serviced it's whole life at Toyota of Hollywood.

I've read the slee guide and done some pretty heavy research on these forums and expo portal. Do you guys have any other advice or tips? Anything I should inspect a little more closely?

Thanks

As long as the service history is solid, a 1 owner car is always the best choice. Clean looking rig, hope it drives awesome too. Good luck.

Listen for exhaust manifold tick, driveline thunk, and look at all CV boots. Good luck - let us know how it turns out.

Nice looking rid. If you're able to disclose, how much is it going for?

Surprised no one's mentioned it so far but the front and rear bumpers, along with rocker panels have all been painted white to match body color. Could just be previous owner liking the look, but just as likely due to an accident at some point in time. Might want to look into that. Also rear windshield wiper arm is missing and it has one hideous spoiler from 2003+ models. Good luck!

Quick update. Interior is trashed and it has a recent cheap paint job. I didn't see any signs of an accident other than maybe a few creases in the passenger door panel. Mechanicaly she ran and drove perfectly. Long story short, the deal was good enough for me to buy it and re-do the interior and address a short list of issues. I'll try to get some photos up tonight. Thanks for all your input guys.

I remember this truck, someone posted about it awhile ago. Faded interior plastics? Yeah, paint job looks horrible on it.

bigboy- Plastics are definitely faded. What was posted about it?

I created a new thread with some photos and a little more detail about the cruiser. NEW THREAD HERE
