So I was showing the coolness of your truck with my son and shared with him that I thought you naming it Goat was cool.

His response: that’s a millennial expression. How old is this guy?

49 going on 16.

Was that stock. Mine is missing

But everything from the crooked crossmember forward is straight up 40 series so you should easily be able to find one.

Final push on the underbelly tomorrow. Dropping the skid and the scraping and vacuuming will begin in Ernest.

The parts I did yesterday have cured nicely.

Only lost one skid plate bolt so I’m happy.

Check out how deep the 90wt soaked sand was. I had to chip it out with a flat edge garden hoe

@megolfer the large oblong hole looks like it has been made larger but it’s just a 3 speed skid plate. You should be able to find one. It’s thicker than later ones but that’s about it.

Let the chipping and scraping begin. Wish me luck. We are also installing a Lift on an FJ62 and dropping 3 60’ trees in my yard today. May even blow up a microwave with some Tannerite to boot.

That's just considered Land Cruiser insulation :)

I have gotten a 5 gallon bucket full of Arizona out of the Goat. I’ve scraped till I can’t scrape.

Taking a break to do something easy.

We got it done. 6 hours flat. Didn’t get to blow anything up though. Didn’t get back on the Goat but that’s OK. I made major headway This am.

I got the sand and dirt out of my ears and eyes and took my much better 1/2 out for the local cancer gala.

I was up early with the scraper making a final push.

3 hours later I’m able to see all the steel and aluminum under here.

I’m debating a pressure wash but it’s cold today. I think I’ll wait on that.

Super happy to have this beat down behind me.

Not easy work, but very rewarding nonetheless.

Time to put the Goat to work after the spa treatment

Grabbed the Stihl at the shop.

Split a bit.

Hauled it to the house.

Much better thing to do in the cold than pressure wash

Time to pay attention to another Cruiser or two the rest of the day
