Got my seatbelts in today.

Not OEM but cool and functional nonetheless

I had 3 reds to choose from and I missed but I’m fine with it.

I only ordered 2 anchors so I just ordered another pair.

Looks good the red ones...
but wouldn`t realy help in our vintages.
I have 3 point belts in mine and they wouldn`t neither help in an accident.
Construction of the J4`s dates from the fifties & occupant protection wasn`t a theme in those days.
It`s the law why I use them depends on year of manufactur of the vintage cars/trucks.
Only a race car belt would give some real protection in vintage cars.

I spent my day off pulling a front third out of the 1970 FJ40 that donated the hood and fenders to the Goat.

Last week I added a speedy sleeve to my 3rd in my FJ40 and screwed up and did not seat my pinion correctly and it jammed into the ring gear and damaged the pinion bearing. That cost me 2 hours pulling the 3rd from Patina and 4 today pulling and cleaning this 3rd.

Then I loaded up in the Goat and drove to the upholstery guys and picked up my seats for Patina.

Then I hung out at the CottonLand Cruisers meeting with my buddy’s.

Goat made an 88 mile round trip. Perfectly.

Did u buy the covers or were they made by the upholstery shop

It’s probably better to show your Goat than to show your ass. I’m just sayin!

Local shop. I didn’t specify stich and such like a good geek should do. They just made em up.

That is the 3rd set they have done for me in the last 8 months.

55, 45 now 40.

Cute little pile of parts from Kurt @cruiseroutfit

Thanks for hunting me down some red signal lenses.

The brake parts make me shudder a bit. Time to start soaking brake lines with Kroil and pray for the best.

Also I got the seats in my 40....they look awesome.

I see you have been upgraded to a first class deluxe suite at the Land Cruiser insane asylum. :notworthy:

Oh man. Totally.

I have 5 Land Cruisers and a 16 TRD Pro and I still have less in the lot than I would have if I was still into rock crawking .....

Man, your putting a lot of shinny things on the old Goat...hum.....

A little jewelry. That’s all. The Goat is still nasty.

I installed my other seatbelt today and was plucking the OEM rubber plugs out when I realized my driver seat was not touching the miraculously still present rubber seat bumpstops.

I ran around and BAM! I was able to move my seat back 3 additional inches.

I almost cried from the joy of it. I was so cramped before with the new seat padding but now my 5’8”’ midget body fits in there perfectly.

Very nice.....the room inside the the cab of the 45 LPB isn't great for me at 6'2" but at least it's not a SWB. I would be up **** creek without a paddle.

Nolan can you shoot me the part numbers for the brake lines from Kurt. I need to get some ordered.

Thanks
