GM NV4500 Question/Help??? (1 Viewer)

I just bought a reman gm nv4500 4wd from AllTranns in portland for my 4bt swap. I also bought AA adapter to go from my NV to my 19 spline split case. To do so AA said to take the stock NV adapter off and cut the out put shaft down to measure 4 3/8". I am finding there is a 4inch round vibation damper that has to come off before you can even think about cutting the shaft.Mine you it take a special tool to get the nut off the shaft. AA left this part out of there install paper work.

As I recall, you need a big a$$ puller to get that thing off. The retension hardware can be removed anyway you like (air chisle, whatever) since you won't be using it again.

I just ended up taken it back to All Trans and they pull it off for free.Tonight will be the night i cut the output shaft to length and put the Tcase on my nv4500hybrid chevy to toyota.
