SILVER Star
1985 BJ73 24v.
Have had same set of plugs since purchasing earlier this year. Had them in/out a few times to check resistance, another time to check compression, etc. No issues upon reinstalling
Recently installed serviced injectors w/ these old glowplugs - all worked fine.
More recently picked up some new 14v plugs [VSP PT-141] from another 'Mudder [thank you]. Removed old, installed new - started up more smoothly and purred down the road during test drive. Stoked.
Come back next morning - Acc keyed until solenoid 'ticks' and then try to start as I've usually done. Cranks [starter is fine], but no spark/ignition. Just blows white smoke. Bummer. Pulled them back out ... and no continuity when tested. Nothing. Tested OLD plugs, all still appear fine.
Reinstall old plugs as I've done - fires right up again. Appears the new plugs somehow burnt out or got fried.
... Before I blow it on a future set of plugs, any tips or am I missing something with the new plugs? Was happy with the results and bummed I burned them out.
