I'm moving things around a bit in my LJ78 to install a 2nd battery. The glow plug relay (The part# is 28610-54280) is mounted horizontally (laying on it's side) with two screws bonding it's frame to the chassis. Can I mount this relay vertically without it being bonded to the frame?

Will it mounted vertically depreciate it's life? I only ask because it is mounted in such a robust manner taking up more room than typical relays do...

I can't answer if it's good or not, but I mounted mine verticly behind my original battery , when I added my second. Been fine for a couple of years now.

However there are two other relays, one for the starter and the other I can't recall. They have drain holes in the bottom, and if they are not installed verticly they can fill up when your playing in deep water.

Thanks Joel. Those we're the specifics I was looking for. I ended up custom designing a battery tray from angle iron so I ended up not needing to move the relay. I can post picture if it might give some people ideas for a second battery.
