Glow plug light on

Ay everyone my glowplug light is on my dash full time and I am losing heaps of power. It used to be on and off but now is constantly on any ideas why?? I disconnected the wire from the bar and removed the fuse. Cheers

Is your engine fitted with EGR? Then there's the problem....

Yeah he does but he had that blocked off. He took it to a dealer and it turned out to be a water temp sensor or switch that the wire to was just breaking contact. Glow plug light seems to be used as a check engine light on the newer 1HZs

Yeah glow plug light is the engine light aswell and that switch was telling it that it was too hot and was going into limp mode haha

Just take a look at the engine without the EGR, you'll know what to take off.

Sorry I only read post 1 and 2. However in my case it is definitely the egr problem.
Where did u start blocking the vacumn hose? There are plenty of them
