Big flakes.
Oracle has had more days of snow this year than the last 3 combined.

All you boarders might think about playing hooky tomm., and go to the Lemon.

yeah thats what global warming is all about, the earth gets warmer overall, but because the ice caps are melting and the oceans are warming up there is more moisture in the air to start, combine that with those warmer oceans meeting the cooler waters of the melting caps and you get interesting weather patterns. more rain, snow, hail and yes even heat, more of everyting really.

Ohhh yeahhhh Friday is my day to play, went up last friday to take care of some problems @ a customers house in summerhaven. Just by chance hadn't unloaded my board from last time, stopped by the slopes lifts were running. Bought a half day ticket, sooo nice (except for the dirt spots) I sat in the middle of the forest, on my board, and not a peep from a single person (just the birds). Was a beautiful day, wore a t-shirt the whole time, and there were only 6 people on the slopes. I LOVE TUCSON AND MT. LEMMON:cheers: Splits I can't believe it was snowing in oracle again, man your lucky. Ohhh yeah global warming sucks, we need to act quickly or it's all going to be gone (The inconvienent truth)

So does that mean AZ might possibly turn into a rain forest state?

Most models show less rain in the SW US. It is hard to predict as it is not certain what will happen with the way currents operate in the Pacific.

12 inches of fresh pow pow on the Lemmon, tomorrow will be fantastic.
Have a blast, I'll get out the spotting scope and see if I can spot you.

Park that bright FJ on the north parking lot that looks toward Oracle.

So where would all the extra water vapor condense and fall as rain in these models?

Farther North with regards to our rain. Specifically about S. AZ it is not clear if the normal summer monsoonal rain will get fully organized.

The Equatorial lats will get less rain as well as the normally dry 30˚'s. I am not an expert on this, I just work with a bunch of geeks who are.

Realizing that these are just models at the moment. Well know for sure in 50-100 years. :D

no one really knows for sure, but models are based on both known weather patterns from recoded history and educated guess. for now, things will remain pretty much the same but just be exaggerated. wouldnt worry bout AZ being a swamp any time soon but the icecaps are melting at a crazy fast rate.

inkpot your right, and places like moab wouldnt be around without a process called cementation.

Howdy! Yea, I have some pretty good samples of "antique beachfront property" from the local area. Maybe I'll bring some to the Friday Night Live, at Sonic. John

Actually I'm pretty familiar with dry 30's we're in that area where if the eath was a giant two sided water fountain the dry 30's would be the part right under the arch of the water..

There are some impressive remnants of inland sea in new mexico...

it's amazing what you can learn watching those PBS NOVA programs..In that same program they explained that the current polar reversal that is just begining to happen has alot more to do with the current warming trend the earth is going through then any other factor..As it allows more solar radiation in though the earth atmosphere..

Did you see me? Was another fantastic day on the lemmon, parking lot empty, snow was awesome, and my 360's were off the hook. I can only pray for more snow, it's got a great base just needs some more powdery mcmuffins on top. Dude w/ a 60 parks next to me (stock) so I'm like "nice 60" he looks at me weird, then I'm thinking maybe it's 62 so I ask him that. Again he looks at me strange, so I say "Fj 60 right" he responds "no I bought this in 84", conversation stopped at that point (it was classic). How do you not know what vehicle you have if you were the original owner?
