Sorry to bump an old thread, but did you ever solve the drone issue? I've heard of exhausts "breaking in" after some miles of driving, where the tone and drone of it changes, so maybe that happened for the better too. That's a pretty nice sounding exhaust, so it's a shame if it's unbearable daily.Gibson’s recommendation to solve the drone issue - go to your local muffler shop and have them install a resonator.
So this am went to a performance muffler shop and their perspective is that a resonator isnt going to solve the issue.
The problem is that Gibson put too small of a muffler on this kit for the size motor on the LC.
Going to take this info to Gibson and will let you know what happs next . . .

I've heard good things about the Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator solving drone issues, depending on where you put it along the piping (placement affects what frequencies the resonator tames).
One of the other main exhaust options for the Land Cruiser 200, the Dirty Deeds Exhaust, uses a Helmholtz resonator (sometimes dual ones such as what @Mogwai has) to control drone. You can buy a third party Helmholtz resonator, such as by Synapse Engineering, and experiment with how that can control drone too.
