Looking to pick up a 79 series pickup bed from Canada and get it to the states. Anyone know how to do this best?

Sounds like a bunch of border paperwork...

i cant imagine why there'de be much paperwork? i ve shipped tons of parts to US, only one form to fill out.

it's not like a diesel engine (which you'de just have to say is for a wood splitter or something), or a full truck less than 25 yrs. old...

I just shipped a whole pallet of parts from BC to NC, and while not a whole engine I had a bunch of carburetors, other misc engine parts and misc body and mechanical parts. I have also had a custom bumper and sliders shipped. I actually did the paperwork(one form like diesel69r said) on the pallet of parts and it was pretty easy. Flew through customs with out a hitch:meh:

You are making this sound easy. Sounds like time for a road trip.

We are thinking about 3 beds, so I don't want to look like I am selling them. Two for me, one for friend.

Make sure to do the research and prepare all the paperwork ahead of time, especially figure out what duties and taxes you will have to pay on the beds. Don't want them held at the border if you don't have the scratch to pay the guberment;)
